Admin Pro Week
“The exceptional administrative professional is grace, skill, mental toughness, problem solving, positivity, endless smiles, genius, and desired outcomes in motion.” – Ty Howard Happy Administrative Professionals Week from UAEOP! A secretary, as a definition at Merriam-Webster.com reads, “one employed to handle correspondence and manage routine and detail work for a superior”. Obviously they never visited an educational office! When was the last time you had a routine day?!? Even administrative assistant, first used in 1841, is defined as “a person whose job is to support an executive, group, department, or organization especially by handling administrative tasks (such as data entry, correspondence, filing, and scheduling appointments)” does not define what we do every day. As we are celebrating Administrative Professionals Week, I would like to thank all of you for the fantastic job you do daily for your school or office in frequently less than routine circumstances. Thank you for being Amazing Administrative Assistants! Enjoy YOUR week! Mary Meyers, CEOE UAEOP President |
